The wildly popular Family Great Adventure Series is back at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for another year of family fun and film watching on the beach under the stars. In July and August, eight evenings will feature a different movie with a corresponding family activity prior to the film. All movies and family activities are free and open to the public.
Spring is in the air and the Easter Bunny is getting prepared for the first-ever Town Center Spring Easter Eggstravaganza, to be held from Noon-3:00pm at Central Park in Town Center!
The Spring Easter Eggstravaganza, free and open to the public, is guaranteed to provide a fun-filled family afternoon with all sorts of "eggstraordinary" spring things to do. Hop your way around the Central Park pond, where there will be inflatables, arts and crafts, games, a petting zoo with a wide variety of baby animals, pony rides, an egg hunt, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.

The City of Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads Chess Association present the 4th Annual Virginia Beach National Chess Day, Saturday, October 7th, from 8 AM to 6 PM, at the Fountain Plaza in Town Center. Free Chess Lessons will be offered throughout the day for those who wish to learn how to play. National Masters will be on hand for a take-all-comers Blitz challenge throughout the day. The Pirate Party on the Beach returns to the Virginia Beach oceanfront for two rollicking days of music, mayhem, and more! This family-friendly event features activities designed to bring out the “pirate” in everyone. Pirate games, a treasure hunt, and pirate re-enactors all combine to celebrate those scallywags we all wish we could be: pirates!
On Saturday, December 1, at 5:30pm, join us for the Cox Communications Holiday Parade at the Beach, where almost 90 parade units make their way down Atlantic Avenue in a joyous celebration of the holiday season.
