ALL ABOUT AMF

For 25 consecutive years, Chartway Federal Credit Union American Music Festival has been held on the Virginia Beach oceanfront each Labor Day Weekend. New this year, AMF expands to Thursday night and Monday afternoon with free shows at 24th Street Park! AMF is one of the nation’s longest running and largest annual outdoor oceanfront music events featuring dozens of international recording acts. All performances take place along the oceanfront at the 5th Street Main Stage on the Beach and at 17th Street Park, 24th Street Park, and 31st Street Park stages.

Chartway Federal Credit Union American Music Festival announces 5th Street Main Stage headliners Lee Brice performing Friday evening, 311 performing Saturday evening and +Live+ with special guest Dashboard Confessional performing Sunday evening. Vertical Horizon, Cracker, Parmalee, Blind Boys of Alabama, Larkin Poe, Camper Van Beethoven, William Michael Morgan, and Tenille Arts are featured performers during the 5-day Festival. A complete event schedule is listed below and available at LiveOnAtlantic.com or on Facebook and Instagram.

Chartway Federal Credit Union returns as American Music Festival’s Title Sponsor. “We’re proud to serve as the Title Sponsor of the American Music Festival for the second consecutive year,” said Brian Schools, president & CEO of Chartway Federal Credit Union. “At Chartway, making a meaningful impact in our hometowns is core to who we are. We want to make every community in which we live and serve better, which is why beyond raising money to provide charitable grants through our We Promise Foundation, it’s a privilege for us to sponsor events like the American Music Festival.”

Music Hall of Famers including Journey, Heart, ZZ Top, Sheryl Crow, Chicago, The Beach Boys, Hall & Oates, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels Band, Isaac Hayes and Four Tops as well as superstars Zac Brown Band, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, Boys II Men, Kool & The Gang, En Vogue, George Duke, Arturo Sandoval, Spyro Gyra, and The Rippingtons have all performed at American Music Festival.

The 5th Street Main Stage is built on the Beach offering a special waterfront view. In addition to fantastic music, guests enjoy the surf and sand under the stars. Food and beverage vendors are located throughout the event and the Virginia Beach oceanfront is home to dozens of world-class restaurants. Music-themed exhibitors and retail vendors bring the entire oceanfront alive with excitement.

Along with the 3-mile boardwalk, Virginia Beach is home to exciting attractions and activities including Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center and some of the most scenic holes of golf on the East Coast.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Half-Marathon also takes place Sunday during American Music Festival Weekend, attracting thousands of runners and walkers from around the world.

Proceeds benefit Virginia Legends Walk.
