Imagine the soundtrack of your life, and chances are good many of the bands who performed the most memorable songs are likely to be at the annual Verizon Wireless American Music Festival Labor Day Weekend.

For three days, music rings along the oceanfront from 5th Street to 31st Street, providing the full soundtrack spectrum for every age and preference. 30 bands, including national recording artists, continue to celebrate the wide diversity of music styles, offering performances from dance to soul to rock to bluegrass and blues.

The entertainment lineup for 2008 will be announced in early June, with tickets going on sale immediately.

Sunday’s post-race concert celebrates the Rock ’n’ Roll Half-Marathon, which attracts over 20,000 runners and walkers from around the world to Virginia Beach.

Food, beverages and beer will be available for purchase at designated concert sites. Alcohol, beach umbrellas, glass bottles, recording devices and pets are prohibited from being brought into the event, and no refunds or exchanges will be honored for purchased tickets. Festival parking is available at nearby Virginia Beach municipal lots.

All music performances will take place at the 13th, 17th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, and 31st Street stages and at the 5th Street Beach Stage.

Shows on the 5th Street Main Stage are ticketed, while all other shows at other stages are free.

"Passport Pins," for admission to ALL THREE paid shows, will be be sold at various locations and at the door.

Individual tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or at the Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater Box Office.

Children 12 and under free.

All performances are subject to change and concerts will be held rain or shine.
